Tango Movement and APARU (Association of Argentine Professionals in the UK) are delighted to invite you to an unforgettable Tango night in support of children in need in Argentina. On occasion of Tango Movement’s third anniversary, the school is celebrating these three years of huge success by throwing a Milonga night which will include live music and student and professional performances at Sadler Wells!
· Milonga with live music by Tango Siempre, the UK’s leading tango orchestra
· Dance displays by David Benitez & Kim Schwartz + Tango Movement Students!
Programme
07:45 pm: Doors open; general dancing.
09:15 pm: Student performance followed by "Tango Siempre" orchestra (first set).
10:30 pm: David & Kim performance followed by "tango Siempre" orchestra (second set)
11:15 pm: General dancing.
12:00 am: End of event
Don’t miss this wonderful celebration and opportunity to help children in the country that has given us the magic of Tango. The proceeds of this event will support two organizations in Argentina, Sicilia Foundation in Salta which provides scholarships for underprivileged children, and Gotitas de Esfuerzo (Drops of effort) in Bariloche which provides food and support to approximately 200 people each day and psychological counselors for children and their families, especially for those who live in a domestic violent environment.
Tickets can also be purchased in the Tango Movement classes in cash or by cheque. Cheques should be payable to APARU and sent to APARU, Flat 8 Hudson Building, 11 Chicksand Street, London, E1 5LD.
